A cover keeps dust, sunlight and accidental drops away from the cloth, but a poor material can trap humidity. Match the cover to the table's true footprint and the room's climate.
Fit and shape
Measure length, width and rail height, including the largest projections. A tight cover pulls against pockets; a loose one slides and drags floor dust onto the cloth. Tables with shelves may need cut-outs or extra fabric.
Material and airflow
Heavy textile rests softly on rails, while vinyl sheds water more effectively but still needs airflow. Never seal a damp or freshly cleaned table for a long period; let it dry completely first.
Everyday handling
Remove the cover by folding the clean side inward. Wash or wipe it according to its label, keep sharp objects off the bed and ensure zips do not scrape the cloth.
Clubs benefit from size labels and a spare cover while the main one is being cleaned.
