The balance point is where a cue can rest on one finger. It is measurable, but not a universal quality score. Shaft length, butt mass and added weights all move the feel.

Find the point on a rounded support, then test the cue in your own stance. Your grip hand should move freely and the cue should return to the line without constant correction. For pyramid, compare balance with weight, tip diameter and shaft thickness rather than chasing a catalogue number.

Ask how the maker measured it and repeat the test before buying. A new tip or ferrule can change the feel because balance belongs to the complete cue.
