A full-size snooker table needs a large room, careful installation and disciplined maintenance. Price the complete project, including access, lighting and future recovering, rather than the cabinet alone.
Playing field and footprint
Confirm the stated format and the actual playing-field dimensions in the manufacturer's documentation. The overall footprint includes deep rails and legs, while cue clearance is needed on every side. In a smaller room, choose a club-size table and label it accurately rather than calling it tournament size.
Rails, pockets and cloth
Snooker relies on the interaction of cushion, pocket jaws and a fast wool cloth. Ask for the cushion profile, pocket-jaw shape and cloth-tension method. A step at a slate join or a wrinkle can alter the ball line noticeably.
Installation and lighting
Use an installer experienced in joining and levelling long slate beds. Position lighting to avoid shadows and glare, matching its height and length to the table and ceiling.
Ownership budget
Include delivery, carrying, installation, a cover, brush, cloth vacuum and periodic recovering. State separate warranty terms for slate, rails and installation work in the purchase order.
